This year, WABOBA is leading a national fundraising promotion to benefit To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA), a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery. Since its launch, the organization has responded to over 600,000 messages from over 100 countries around the world. A large majority of TWLOHA’s supporters are teenagers and young adults, so WABOBA was moved to support this heart-felt cause.
To support our efforts, WABOBA has enlisted the help of SPIKEKEY BEACH VOLLEYBALL – a team of professional volleyball players who play WABOBA for fitness conditioning. SPIKEKEY will act as role model ambassadors for the fundraising promotion, traveling to competitions in 14 cities throughout the US and Caribbean – from the Toyota AVP Young Guns in Ocean City, MD to the Corona Wide Open Tour in Manhattan Beach, CA.
To commemorate this special fundraiser, we commissioned a special edition WABOBA SPORT ball that will be available only at the volleyball events, on the TWLOHA website or on TWLOHA’s eBay auction, offering WABOBA SPORT balls signed by SpikeKey team players. WABOBA is donating all the balls and at each event, we ask everyone involved to dig into their pockets and give whatever they can, to support the effort in exchange for a special edition WABOBA SPORT ball.
